From Potomac, Maryland, Katherine Song is a violist in the Juilliard School Pre-College Division and a student at Winston Churchill High School. She studies viola under the guidance of Carol Rodland. Katherine was a member of Carnegie Hall Weill Music Institute's esteemed National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America in 2024, as well as the National Youth Orchestra 2 (NYO2) in 2023. Additionally, she had the privilege to hold the position of principal violist in Maryland's All State Senior Orchestra.

One of Katherine's most notable musical achievements is placing as a Finalist/Winner with Distinction for the 2024 National YoungArts Competition in the Classical Music category, earning the distinguished honor of a nomination for the U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts. Her other notable and recent solo achievements include winning 1st Place Prizes in the 2023 New York International Classical Music Competition, 2023 International Grande Music Competition, 2023 VIVO International Music Competition, 2023 Prima Volta Music Competition, 2023 New York Artists International Competition, and numerous others.

Katherine currently serves as Back to Bach's Director of Global Operations and Co-Regional Director of the College Park, MD Region.
