Katie is attending Brown University ‘28 for electrical engineering and physics. She studied viola for 6 years under under Dr. Sungah Min and 11 years under Dr. Svetlana Volkova.
For piano, Katie has placed in state solo competitions, earning 2nd Prize in the William Knabe International Piano Competition, and performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra at the Maryland Classical Youth Orchestras(MCYO). She started viola with Dr. Min in 8th grade and has been a member of MCYO for 5 years (8th-12th). In 2022 she placed as the Maryland All-State Senior Orchestra 2nd violist. She was the principal violist for the 2023 Carnegie Hall Honors Performance Series program and was the 2nd Prize Winner for the Jack Weaver Memorial Competition.
Katie is a Director of Global Operations at Back to Bach and former Co-Regional Director for College Park, MD.
