Sarah Park

Sarah Park is a young violinist, science researcher, and active youth community leader. She is a recent graduate from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL as Valedictorian. She will be attending Harvard University ’29 and plans to study Molecular & Cellular Biology.
Her musical journey includes serving as concertmaster of the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra Philharmonic since 2021 and as Regional Director of the Jacksonville, FL Chapter of the Back to Bach Project. She currently serves as a Director of Global Operations for the Back to Bach Project.
Sarah made her debut at Carnegie Hall at the age of 10 after winning an international music competition. Among her many accolades, she won the Gainesville Orchestra Young Artist Competition (2023), the Saint Augustine Orchestra Young Artist Competition (2023), and the John Leatherwood Concerto Competition (2024), and JSYO Young Artist Competition (2022, 2024), performing as a soloist with each respective orchestra. She was a top 10 finalist in the Hilton Head Youth Concerto Competition in 2022 and has been invited to perform at the Young Artists Performances in Hilton Head, SC, in May 2025.
Sarah is also an active scientist and National Merit Scholar. She was named America’s Top Young Scientist in 2021 (3M/Discovery Education), receiving a $25,000 scholarship. She is a three-time 3rd Place Grand Award winner (2022, 2023, 2024) at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and a Mayo Clinic SPARK Scholar during both her junior and senior years in high school.
Sarah also gives back to her community, serving as co-president of JaxTHRIVE, where she builds friendships and mentors K-12 refugee students. This work has been recognized by NAFSA VII Sylvia Shortt Memorial Community Volunteer Award 2024 for “Important and significant contributions of unpaid volunteers who support international initiatives.” She has been committed to this work for the past seven years. Sarah will continue to share her love for music, science, and service with the world.
